Meet the team

  • I work with teens and adults navigating anxiety, low mood, grief, identity questions, and big transitions. With more than 15 years of experience, my style is warm, steady, and collaborative. You will feel welcomed as you are, and you will leave sessions with both insight and practical tools for real life. We start with a clear assessment and a shared vision, then meet weekly to blend relational, insight oriented therapy with skills from CBT and ACT, mindfulness, and trauma informed care.

I bring a multicultural lens and deep familiarity with the pace and pressures of New York City. In addition to my clinical work, I teach master’s level courses at Columbia University. I offer therapy in English and Spanish. If you are feeling stuck or unsure which way to turn, I offer a calm, thoughtful space to clarify what is happening and to move forward with confidence.

Therapist & Founder

  • I work with adults navigating grief, anxiety, trauma, and major life transitions. Clinically, I brings a steady, collaborative style shaped by advanced training at Columbia School of Social Work and experience in academic and hospital settings, including Mount Sinai’s outpatient psychiatry clinic and Columbia’s Center for Prolonged Grief. My work blends relational psychotherapy with practical tools from CBT/ACT, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care—so you leave sessions with both language and usable strategies.

My approach is also informed by 25 years in movement and contemplative practice. Before clinical social work, I founded Waving Moon Wellness, developing grief-informed workshops, retreats, and mind-body education through a lens of Taoist philosophy and Chinese medicine. Today, I integrate gentle, evidence-aligned somatic strategies only when they serve your goals and comfort. The aim is clarity about what’s happening, steadier days, and a more compassionate relationship with yourself.

  • I believe therapy should feel personal and useful. I take time to understand who you are, what you care about, and what would make life feel lighter. My style is calm and collaborative. I use clear language, ask thoughtful questions, and help you make a plan you can actually use between sessions. We will look at how past experiences and relationships shape the present, and we will also build practical skills for right now, including tools from CBT and ACT, mindfulness, emotion regulation, and communication.

If you are a parent or caregiver, I partner with you respectfully. We set goals together, agree on what information is shared, and keep you updated on progress while protecting your teen’s privacy. When it helps, I coordinate with schools or medical providers so everyone is moving in the same direction.

Whether you or your teen is feeling anxious, stuck, or overwhelmed, I offer a steady space to feel understood, learn workable skills, and move forward at a pace that fits.
